When you feel your bathroom needs a big clean, start with the bathtub.
First clean the shower walls around the tub. Use a tile cleaner and a tile brush. Tile cleaner needs to sit a while before it works, as it's mainly a chemical action that gets things clean. After it has sat for the proper amount of time, start scrubbing the area where you first applied it. The brush works well because it gets into the grout between the tiles. There will be lots of bubbles on the wall, making it difficult to determine when you have removed all of the grime.
